Inside, there are quirky elements throughout such a copper kettle tap and brass jam basin in the bathroom, vintage red wine barrel stave feature wall in the lounge, and the windowsills are made from reclaimed flooring from a brick factory in Kentucky, USA.

 

The cedar cladding was hand treated with a Japanese treatment called Shou-Sugi-Ban, which uses fire to treat and preserve the wood. This enhances the grain and also protects it from the elements.
