SERVICES

Inspiring spaces doesn't follow a set model. Whatever you need help with, no matter how big or small, I can assist. My expertise falls into three main categories:

1

Initial Concept Stage

This stage is, in my mind, the most important - this is where the entire business is make or break. If you want something unique, that is going to stand out from the crowd and command high rates and occupancy, this is where you should make those waves.

2

Design & Planning Liaison

I aim to keep things on track, share some of my previous experiences, and most importantly ensure the design is not compromised during this stage. My mission is to liaise with architects and planning consultants to keep the vision alive throughout the process.

3

Bespoke Project Management

Having (hopefully) secured planning, if required I can then project manage the build to completion. This stage is tailored to your requirements with the 'turnkey' package including everything required to launch your new property with a bang.

Initial Concept Stage

This stage is, in my mind, the most important - this is where the entire business is make or break. If you want something unique, that is going to stand out from the crowd and command high rates and occupancy, this is where you should make those waves.

Architects are great and there are some fantastic ones out there who can think outside the box, but in my experience they work from a book of materials and styles that gives you limited scope for something in this world that is so important - a little magic. I can think outside of this box, coming up with unique concepts while still understanding the overall design and build framework to ensure it’s achievable.

I tend to start with a client brief and site visit. Each build is based entirely on the topography and 'feel' of your site - no single design would be transferrable between sites as I believe the land 'speaks' to you about what would be in keeping. We then consider your budget, timescales, target market and likes, which enables me to sketch 3-4 rough ideas. After presentation of these ideas we whittle it down to the one design that works for you. This can then be handed to an architect to formulise into something that the planners and builders will be able to work with.

Design Planning & Liaison

Having trodden the architect and planning path a number of times I know how much of a hurdle this can be.

While I am not a planning consultant (and would recommend you use one), I aim to keep things on track, share some of my previous experiences, and most importantly ensure the design is not compromised during this process.

Many amazing buildings are eroded into something mundane during the design and planning process, so it’s my mission to keep the vision alive and on track throughout while working with and assuring all parties that what is proposed is achievable.

Bespoke Project Management

Having (hopefully) secured planning, if required I can then project manage the build to completion. This entails sourcing and managing trades, schedules, timescales and even budgets to help bring things in on time, on budget and with the level of finish and finesse a building of this stature deserves.

I can work remotely, or fully on-site looking after the day to day running of your bespoke build. For one of my previous projects I was actually able to save over £25,000 by taking builders quotes for things like windows and doors, steel frames and cladding, and spending the time working on the materials, shopping around and securing the best suppliers and contractors.

This project management stage can be fully 'turnkey', right down to paint, furniture and cutlery if so desired - I can even help with staging, photoshoots and videography to launch your business and property with a bang.
